EEBBEE Post-mortem Devlog

This is a project I made for a module in my 3rd year of university. We were challenged to make a mobile/web game that's aim was to be highly replayable or addicting. My lecturer also challenged us to try and frustrate him into playing this game repeatedly, which I think I very well achieved (Sorry Jake).
For this module instead of using Unity, we were tasked with using Construct3 to make this game, which proved to be interesting as it is a far more simplistic style of development, but it's simplicity also meant it was restricting in some way. One example of this is that, in Unity making a scrolling and randomly generated 'level' would be fairly easy; however, Construct3's approach made it far more complex than I had expected. Thankfully, I had a friend who was attempting a similar style of generation to help me out with that aspect (thanks again Charlie)

In the future I would try to improve the artwork, particularly for the obstacles, which are supposed to look like a tree's log, but currently just look like brown blocks. It also doesn't delete the obstacles behind the player once they have moved past them, as I couldn't find a way to do this in Construct3, so the game may become less performant as you progress further, due to it's small file sizes and simplistic nature, you would have to get very far to notice it, but it's still something I would want to fix.

I'm very happy with how EEBBEE turned out, it is a cursed but beautiful game and I'm proud of it. It can also be downloaded on the google play store for if you want to torture yourself while out and about!
